This month didn't start off that great. Hannah was sick with Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. All of Hannah's friends at Ms. Donnas had it except for one. Hannah was out for almost a whole week. I'm thankful because it could have been a lot worse. The worst part was that she couldn't eat even though she wanted to because she had sores in her mouth. What do you do to make a sick girl feel better? Dress her up in her fairy outfit, let her love on her baby doll, give her popsicles, let her put her hat and gloves on when it's not cold outside, and let her love on Gunner. The good news is that this month Hannah has learned how to sign for more. She pats mama and dada on the back when we pick her up. She identifies herself as baby and me as mama when we ask who she is and who I am. When we ask her who daddy is, she'll also say mama and then smile. We have been trying to teach her to call Derrick dada or daddy, but she refuses to say it when asked who he is. She will usually repeat it, but will never answer us when we ask. She 'll pat Gunner and and say Gun-nah and she can also say Eye-e for Riley. She can also say mik for milk, mo for more, ookie for cookie, ack-r for cracker and when she wants more cookies, she says mo' ookie while signing for more. She can also say oogie for booger, yuck, ew for shoe, apple, and so much more. It's so hard to keep up with all her new words! Hannah also got her first playground set! Now our plans are to get her a big girl swing and fix up the backyard a little bit by getting some pots with flowers and some chairs to sit in.
